Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel teased additions, and now we know who he was referring to.
The Patriots hired two new scouting assistants in Cam McCormick and Ben Langford as well as a new addition to their analytics department in personnel analytics coordinator Max Mulitz, according to a report from MassLive’s Mark Daniels on Monday.
Mulitz spent the past seven seasons with the Miami Dolphins where he elevated up the ranks from football analyst (2018) to director of coaching analytics (2021-2024). He’s worked in the NFL since 2015 when he started with the Philadelphia Eagles. He’ll join the growing analytics team in New England, which features director of coaching analytics Ekene Olekanma, director of football strategy Marshall Oium and director of research Richard Miller.
McCormick arrives in Foxboro, Mass., after he played at the University of Miami in 2024 — the final season of his nine-year (!) college tenure. He announced his hiring on social media.
New England also is the first NFL stop for Langford, who served as the linebackers and special teams coordinator at New Mexico Highlands University in 2024.
