The New England Patriots finalized their coordinators under head coach Mike Vrabel and reportedly made another important hire Thursday night.

Ashton Grant will be the new quarterbacks coach in New England in 2025, CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones and MassLive’s Mark Daniels reported Thursday night.

Grant spent the last five years under Kevin Stefanski on the Cleveland Browns coaching staff. He crossed paths with Vrabel, who worked as a consultant with the Browns, during the 2024 season. That also would have had him on staff with former Browns and Patriots offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt before the latter’s move to New England.

T.C. McCartney held that role for the Patriots in 2024 and Grant fills an important role under Josh McDaniels, who begins his third stint as New England’s offensive coordinator in 2025.

Defensive coordinator Terrell Williams joins the staff on the other side of the ball and Jeremy Springer will be the lone holdover of the trio from Jerod Mayo’s 2024 staff. Vrabel quickly built his group of coordinators and several other assistants should be announced in the coming weeks.

That group will quickly get to work with the front office as tentpole events of the offseason such as the NFL Scouting Combine are on the horizon next month.
