Welcome to the NFL playoffs. Welcome to our first postseason rooting guide of the year.

The New England Patriots entered the tournament on Sunday night, hosting the seventh-seeded Los Angeles Chargers at Gillette Stadium. They took care of business, winning the contest with a final score of 16-3.

With that said, here is our rooting guide for the remaining game of the wild card round — one that will determine who the Patriots are going to play in the divisional round.

Saturday

Los Angeles Rams (5) at Carolina Panthers (4) | LA 34, CAR 31

Green Bay Packers (7) at Chicago Bears (2) | GB 27, CHI 31

Sunday

Buffalo Bills (6) at Jacksonville Jaguars (3) | BUF 27, JAX 24

San Francisco 49ers (6) at Philadelphia Eagles (3) | SF 23, PHI 19

Monday

8 p.m. ET

Houston Texans (5) at Pittsburgh Steelers (4): Go Steelers! With the Bills winning on Sunday, a Pittsburgh victory over the Texans would be the preferred outcome because it would set up a match between New England and arguably the worst overall team left in the AFC playoffs. Yes, the Steelers beat the Patriots in Week 3, but a lot has changed since then that would make the Patriots a clear favorite should they advance. | ESPN/ABC
