The New England Patriots could end Sunday with a 2.5-game lead in the AFC East if the Buffalo Bills lose to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Their division competitor will play the pivotal Week 11 game without a notable talent.
The Buffalo Bills announced that Keon Coleman is inactive on Sunday. It’s the first game the wide receiver will miss this season.
Multiple insiders claimed the Bills are sitting him as a disciplinary measure. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said Buffalo made Coleman a healthy scratch because he arrived late to Friday’s meeting, but ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the 22-year-old missed it.
The Bills made Coleman the No. 33 pick of last year’s draft in hopes of replacing Stefon Diggs. He tallied 556 yards and four touchdowns during an up-and-down rookie season and hasn’t consistently contributed in Year 2.
Coleman has caught 32 of 49 targets for 330 yards and three touchdowns through nine games. The Florida State product began the 2025 campaign with 112 yards and a touchdown in a massive Week 1 comeback win over the Buffalo Bills, but he has since tallied 30 or fewer yards in six games.
Although Coleman found the end zone in a Week 10 loss to the Miami Dolphins, he won’t have a chance to maintain that momentum on Sunday. Josh Allen will be down a receiver against a Buccaneers squad looking to redeem last week’s loss to New England.
The Athletic’s Playoff Simulator gives the Patriots a whopping 89 percent probability of winning the division after Thursday night’s win over the Jets. Those odds will only grow if the Bills suffer their second straight loss.
