Patriots offseason signee Garrett Bradbury appears to be dealing with an injury, and it’s prompted New England to sign a local product at the same position.

The Patriots signed center Alec Lindstrom, as reported by the Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed. Lindstrom was on the practice fields at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday.

Bradbury, who didn’t finish practice Tuesday, was absent.

A Boston College product who attended high school in Massachusetts, Lindstrom has played in one NFL game. He initially entered the league with the Dallas Cowboys after he went undrafted in 2022. Lindstrom then landed with the Los Angeles Rams in Aug. 2024, and spent much of last season with the New York Jets.

The 27-year-old was released by the Jets in November and landed on the open market.

Bradbury served as the starting center during the first six days of training camp, but rookie Jared Wilson also saw first-team reps with quarterback Drake Maye. With Bradbury sidelined Wednesday, Cole Strange and Ben Brown reportedly received first-team reps and Wilson played left guard.
