Wide receiver Mack Hollins is currently listed as a starter on the New England Patriots depth chart.

According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, the 31-year-old veteran was activated off the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, practiced for the first time during Thursday’s training camp session and was immediately working with the starting group.

Furthermore, Reiss reported that the Patriots have “significant plans” for Hollins this season.

“The 6-foot-4, 221-pound Hollins worked with the starters at the walk-through practice. On his first snap, he aligned opposite Stefon Diggs, with DeMario Douglas in the slot,” he wrote. “Hollins’ return seemed to most impact third-year receiver Kayshon Boutte, who had mostly been working alongside Diggs and Douglas. The 5-foot-11, 197-pound Boutte still took some snaps among the starters, but Hollins’ presence was a reminder that the team has significant plans for him after signing him to a two-year, $8.4 million contract in the offseason.”

Hollins has appeared in games with five different teams since making his NFL debut with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017. Hollins signed with the Miami Dolphins in December 2019 and spent two-plus seasons in South Beach before joining the Las Vegas Raiders for the 2022 campaign and putting up his best numbers.

The North Carolina product finished that year with high marks in targets (94), receptions (57) and receiving yards (690), while adding four touchdowns. Hollins’ production dropped in 2023 with the Atlanta Falcons, but he bounced back to record 31 catches for 378 yards and a career-high five scores in 2024 with the Buffalo Bills.

Having already played for Buffalo and Miami, Hollins has plenty of experience competing in the AFC East and it looks like he’ll have a chance at making a big impact in New England this fall.
