Drake Maye celebrated an incredible milestone over the weekend.
The New England Patriots quarterback married his longtime girlfriend, Ann Michael Hudson, and posted a series of photos on Instagram.
“What a night! Cheers to forever🥂I love you!,” Maye captioned the post.
“Best day ever!!!! I love you❤️❤️,” Hudson replied in the comments.
In a TikTok post, Hudson detailed how the two met and started dating when they were 12 years old. They both attended the University of North Carolina, and she made the move to Massachusetts after the Patriots drafted him with the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. In January, Maye popped the question to his longtime girlfriend in Mexico, which was the reason he missed Mike Vrabel’s introductory press conference at Gillette Stadium.
It’s safe to say he had a very good excuse for being absent.
And the two wasted no time, getting married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony shortly after the end of mandatory minicamp.
The Patriots also celebrated the news, writing, “Congratulations to the Mayes ❤️💙.”
And a video posted by Hudson on her Instagram story showed the two with huge smiles on their faces as they danced to “Love Story” by Taylor Swift at their wedding.
On his Instagram post, Maye received congratulatory messages from Patriots players, as well as other stars across the league.
“Congratulations brotha,” New England rookie left tackle Will Campbell wrote.
“Congrats !!,” Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams commented.
“The Maye’s 🥂❤️,” former Patriots linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley said.
“Congrats my guy!!,” Patriots rookie receiver Kyle Williams wrote.
