The New England Patriots made a host of roster moves on Monday.

“Patriots make a series of transactions:,” the team’s official account posted on X.

Among the more notable transactions were signing 27-year-old linebacker Otis Reese to their practice squad and placing 29-year-old linebacker Darius Harris on the practice squad injured reserve list.

“Patriots practice squad transactions: 🏈 Signed: LB Otis Reese 🏈 Injured reserve: LB Darius Harris,” ESPN’s Mike Reiss wrote on Bluesky. “NOTES: Reese has background w/ Mike Vrabel, having entered NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Titans in 2023…6-foot-2, 230 pounds…20 NFL games, 26 tackles…no relation.”

As Reiss noted, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel has a history with Reese.

The latter played 20 games with the Tennessee Titans across the 2023 and 2024 seasons, recording 38 tackles, two quarterback hits and one interception.

Vrabel coached the Titans for six years from 2018 to 2023.

Harris spent the first four seasons of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs from 2020 to 2023 before playing four games with the Dallas Cowboys in 2024.

The Middle Tennessee State product had his best season in 2022, playing in all of the Chiefs 20 games (including the playoffs) and earning his first of two consecutive Super Bowl titles. Harris finished the 2022 regular season with 43 tackles, two quarterback hits and 1.5 sacks.

He signed with New England’s practice squad in early September and appeared in three games this fall, registering four tackles.
