The New England Patriots should consider bringing in young receiver talent to support Drake Maye, and they can begin that process in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Since New England has one of the top teams in the NFL, it will likely pick late in the first round. However, there should still be a solid amount of receiver talent available on the board.
CBS Sports NFL writer Blake Brockermeyer released a mock draft that has the Patriots selecting Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion with their 32nd pick.
“Concepcion brings elite speed and versatility to stretch defenses vertically while also working effectively on short and intermediate routes,” Brockermeyer wrote on Tuesday. “His return ability on special teams adds additional value.”
Concepcion is in his first season at A&M after spending his initial two college seasons at North Carolina State. He has been a critical factor in the Aggies’ impressive 11-0 record as they head into their final regular season game, tallying 52 receptions for 829 yards and nine touchdowns.
If the Patriots can acquire Concepcion, he could elevate the offense to even greater heights, which might seem impossible given how well New England is performing this season.
