New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel isn’t one to take credit…
Vrabel likes to deflect, which is what he has done throughout a remarkable first season at the helm at One Patriot Place — often sharing his admiration and appreciation for the likes of quarterback Drake Maye, wide receiver Stefon Diggs, defensive lineman Milton Williams, linebacker Robert Spillane, etc.
It’s not like that stops people from heaping praise on the odds-on favorite to win NFL Coach of the Year, though.
“It’s very rare to have a coach like him that can connect with so many different personalities on the team,” rookie offensive lineman Will Campbell said following Sunday’s victory over the Miami Dolphins, as shared by CLNS Media. “I don’t ever want to have to play for anybody else. I feel like that’s the best way to sum it up.”
“Thank you, sir,” defensive lineman Milton Williams said as he greeted his head coach following the game, as shared by the Patriots on X.
Vrabel will likely ignore any and all praise until he finally reaches the promised land, but no matter what, his players will continue to share their admiration for the man who turned their fortunes around from 4-13 to 14-3.
