The New England Patriots managed to keep their win streak alive in Week 10 with a 28-23 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With that win, the Pats now have an 8-2 record, thanks in large part to the fact that they have now earned seven straight victories.

Several players stepped up for New England in this one, but one of the more overlooked contributors was wide receiver Mack Hollins. With Drake Maye enduring an uneven game, Hollins was his security blanket, as he led the team in receptions (six) and receiving yards (106).

Hollins is known for his unique personality, which includes several bold fashion choices, the most notable of the bunch which sees him frequently walking around barefoot, no matter the temperature. When discussing the veteran wide receiver, head coach Mike Vrabel offered a hilarious comparison.

“I appreciate his professionalism,” Vrabel said of Hollins on Monday. “Don’t judge a book by its cover. He walks around like Encino Man, but he’s smart, he’s easy to talk to, I enjoy our conversations, great family … I think he’s a good leader. I think he does a lot of different things for us, and I like having him here.”

“Encino Man” is a popular movie from 1992 in which two high school friends come across a caveman whom they befriend and attempt to pass off as a foreign exchange student. The caveman, named Link, featured long hair and sported some interesting clothes, similar to Hollins.

As long as Hollins continues to produce on the field for New England, he can be as unique as he wants in Vrabel’s eyes. The team will look to continue its winning ways in Week 11 when it squares off against the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football.
