New England Patriots - NESN.com
The New England Patriots have been rolling for nearly two months now, as they picked up their seventh-straight win in Week 10 when they earned a 28-23 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With that win, the Pats improved their record on the season to 8-2, which is good for the top spot in the AFC East.
There have been a lot of encouraging developments for the Patriots this year. They look significantly better on both sides of the ball than they did last season, and with each passing week, second-year quarterback Drake Maye only seems to find ways to improve his play on the field.
One of the more overlooked aspects of New England’s success has been its ability to win on the road. After taking down Tampa Bay in front of a hostile crowd at Raymond James Stadium, the Patriots joined the Seattle Seahawks as the only two teams to remain undefeated in their away games this season.
Aside from a pair of early-season losses at Gillette Stadium to the Las Vegas Raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers this year, the Patriots have been perfect. It’s also worth noting that the team’s slate of away games has been fairly difficult, as they have defeated both the Bucs and the Buffalo Bills in front of their home crowds.
New England still has some tough road contests on its schedule, as a Week 16 meeting with the Baltimore Ravens looms large. And while complaints about the team’s easy schedule do still exist, the Pats have proven that they can go toe-to-toe with whoever their opponent ends up being.
In Week 11, that opponent is the New York Jets, who the Patriots will be welcoming to town for a Thursday Night Football meeting. Kickoff for this game is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET, and if all goes according to plan, New England will walk away from this one with its eighth straight win.
