Stefon Diggs isn’t unlike certain other players who have latched on with the New England Patriots.

Randy Moss faced some off-field troubles before arriving at One Patriot Place, smoothing things out before having a successful stint. Antonio Brown faced tons of issues before, during and after his one-week run with the club. LeGarrette Blount’s second stint only began because he was released as part of his punishment for getting into trouble with former Pittsburgh Steelers teammate Le’Veon Bell.

It’s just the sort of thing that happens, particularly with this franchise.

James White, who played alongside two of the men previously mentioned, has been around his fair share of teammates who brought unnecessary attention to the team, and gave his take on the Diggs situation during Tuesday’s episode of “The Money Down” podcast.

“It would be worse — to me — if he wasn’t working out,” White said. “He posts his workout videos, too… This is how I know you’re actually working and focused on what the main thing is. I know he did show up to OTAs today, he was moving around. He looked good coming off that ACL surgery. He’s flying around, he has the energy. He’s a guy who likes to have a good time, but he puts the work in.”

Diggs, of course, did show up to Monday’s organized team activities after video surfaced of him getting into extracurricular activities with a group of women on a boat back on Memorial Day. The Patriots seem to have smoothed everything over, so the hope is that they can just move on without any further issues.

If you take a look at the odds above, there’s a better chance of that happening than not.
