Former New England Patriots cornerback Ty Law is thoroughly impressed by quarterback Drake Maye.

Maye had a stellar offensive game in Week 6 as the Patriots defeated the New Orleans Saints 25-19. With the win, New England improved to 4-2 and is now atop the AFC East.

After Maye’s Week 6 performance, where he threw for 261 yards and three touchdowns, Law said the sophomore quarterback reminds him of Tom Brady.

“He’s finding ways to get everybody involved,” Law said on “The Greg Hill Show” on Tuesday. “You know what I mean? That’s the thing that I’m most impressed about. Not only his patience and how he’s handling himself in situations, he’s spreading the ball around again. It brings us back to Tom Brady.

“As far as not having that premier wide receiver. He’s finding ways to win. So whoever’s open, (Maye’s) going to get you the ball. He’s making the right decisions, the right plays and that’s what you need as a quarterback.”

It’s high praise from Law, who believes Maye doesn’t have the elite weapons that other quarterbacks have, but is still striving.

In Week 6, Stefon Diggs, who’s the Patriots’ No. 1 receiver, had just 28 receiving yards. But Maye turned to Kayshon Boutte and DeMario Douglas, who had 93 and 71 receiving yards on Sunday, respectively.

Following another solid performance from Maye, his name has come up in MVP conversations. Yet, the quarterback isn’t letting any of the noise bother him.

Maye and the Patriots will go on the road to play the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
