New England Patriots defensive tackle Christian Barmore has started 10 of the team’s first 11 games this season.

The only time Barmore didn’t start was in Week 8, when he was benched to begin the team’s win vs. the Cleveland Browns.

In the wake of fellow defensive tackle Milton Williams’ ankle injury, ESPN’s Mike Reiss wrote on Tuesday that Barmore is the New England player under the most pressure for the rest of the season.

“The Patriots just placed starting defensive tackle Milton Williams on injured reserve because of a high ankle sprain, and he has arguably been their best defensive player. Barmore, a five-year veteran who is coming off a game in which he tied his career high with five pressures, will be critical in filling the void,” Reiss said. “After being limited to four games in 2024 because of blood clots, Barmore has played 63.6% of the defensive snaps this season.”

As the Patriots insider mentioned, Barmore is coming off a big game in Week 11.

The former second-round pick finished New England’s victory against the New York Jets with three tackles, two quarterback hits and his first sack of the campaign.

Barmore enters Week 12 with 17 tackles, six quarterback hits and three tackles for loss on the season.
