New England Patriots fans got more good news on Thursday with star cornerback Christian Gonzalez practicing for a second consecutive day and defensive end Keion White returning to the field.

Gonzalez is working his way back from a hamstring injury and is hoping to make his season debut on Sunday in Week 3 vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers.

White played in the Week 1 loss against the Las Vegas Raiders but missed the Week 2 win vs. the Miami Dolphins due to an illness.

Gonzalez was listed on the Patriots’ Thursday injury report as a limited participant for the second straight practice while White was a full participant in his return.

According to Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald, New England had “perfect” practice attendance on Thursday.

“The #Patriots have perfect practice attendance today with Keion White (illness) participating,” Callahan posted on Bluesky. “Christian Gonzalez participated in a simulated tackling drill early in practice, then an individual DBs drill.”

White is in his third season since being selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft and has been tabbed as a potential breakout candidate.

He finished last season with a team-high 16 quarterback hits while tying for first in sacks (5.0) and tying for second in forced fumbles (two). White also had seven tackles for loss and five passes defended.

The 26-year-old played in all 17 games and made 13 starts last season, while increasing his defensive snaps total from 521 in 2023 to 829 last year.

White played just 29 defensive snaps in Week 1, however, and registered two tackles.
