Milton Williams has emerged as a tone-setter on the Patriots defense.
On Monday, the NFL’s official X account shared a mic’d-up video of Williams from New England’s Week 8 home win over the Cleveland Browns. The clip shows Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel congratulating Williams on the victory, with the star defensive tackle reacting with minimal satisfaction.

Williams signed a four-year, $104 million contract with the Patriots during the offseason. While not flashy in the first eight games, the former Philadelphia Eagle posted 3.5 sacks, six quarterback hits and 21 total tackles while excelling against the run and the pass.
Williams and the Patriots entered Week 9 on a five-game winning streak. They’ll look for their sixth consecutive victory this Sunday when they host the Atlanta Falcons.
