Pats Pulpit
The New England Patriots will have help on both fronts against the New York Giants.
The organization elevated offensive lineman Brenden Jaimes and defensive lineman Jeremiah Pharms Jr. from the practice squad for Monday night at Gillette Stadium.
Pharms, 29, previously served as a standard call-up last week versus the Cincinnati Bengals. In his 2025 debut, the 6-foot-2, 300-pound defensive tackle saw 20 snaps on defense with standout Milton Williams on injured reserve. He added eight snaps in the kicking game while registering one tackle and one quarterback hit.
After signing a two-year extension in the offseason, Pharms made the Patriots’ initial 53-man roster in August before being waived and retained on the practice squad. His tenure spans 29 games and a handful of starts.
By way of Sacramento City College, San Joaquin Delta College and Friends University, Pharms went undrafted in 2020. Following stints with the Champions Indoor Football League’s Wichita Force and USFL’s Pittsburgh Maulers, the former linebacker landed in Foxborough ahead of training camp 2022. He has gone on to tally 43 tackles, two sacks, six quarterback hits and one fumble recovery through 567 snaps on defense and 121 snaps on special teams.
Jaimes, 26, joined New England’s practice squad as the calendar turned to September and served as an elevation versus the Carolina Panthers later that month. The interior offensive lineman has appeared in 47 games since entering the NFL in the fifth round of the 2021 draft at pick No. 159 overall.
After four years with the Los Angeles Chargers, Jaimes signed with the Tennessee Titans as an unrestricted free agent in April. He was released as a vested veteran ahead of the league’s cutdown deadline in the summer.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Nebraska product stands with three career starts. His run has brought 274 snaps on offense and 203 snaps on special teams.
The Patriots ruled out rookie guard Jared Wilson and special teams captain Brenden Schooler for the Giants matchup due to ankle injuries. Starting defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga, outside linebacker Harold Landry III as well as center Garrett Bradbury, a late addition to the injury report, all carry questionable game designations.
Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET.
