The New England Patriots will take on the Carolina Panthers in Week 4, and after suffering a wildly frustrating loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3, the team will be eager to get back in the win column when they take the field next.

As always, injuries are going to play a role in determining how this game unfolds. The Pats are already without starting left guard, Jared Wilson, who was ruled out on Friday due to ankle and knee injuries. Christian Gonzalez, K’Lavon Chaisson and Mike Onwenu are also questionable for this game, meaning New England could be quite shorthanded.

In the event one of these guys misses the game, the team made some moves on Saturday to reinforce their depth. That led to linebacker Darius Harris and offensive lineman Brenden Jaimes getting elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for this game.

“Patriots elevate LB Darius Harris and OL Brenden Jaimes to the active roster,” the team announced in a post on X.

Harris is a five-year veteran who has played in 37 NFL games, winning a pair of Super Bowls earlier in his career with the Kansas City Chiefs. Jaimes spent the first four seasons of his career with the Los Angeles Chargers, suiting up for 46 games, five of which were starts.

Chances are neither of these guys will have huge roles for New England on Sunday. Injuries can pop up in the blink of an eye, though, so having a pair of veteran depth options available on the bench who can fill in if needed is huge for the Pats.

If Gonzalez, Chaisson and Onwenu can all play, though, the Patriots will be in a fairly good spot when it comes to their injury situation ahead of this game. Kickoff for their clash with Carolina is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
