New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has officially reached the mountain top… of totally arbitrary lists.
Maye, following another superb performance against the New York Giants, topped the “QB Stock Market” put together by FOX Sports’ Henry McKenna — sitting directly in front of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (No. 2), Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (No. 3) and Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (No. 4).
Stafford previously occupied the top spot, but slipped after turning the ball over three times in Sunday’s loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Maye has been incredibly consistent over the last couple of months, combining to throw for 2,627 yards, 18 touchdowns and just four interceptions across the club’s 10-game winning streak — despite never eclipsing 300 yards in a single game. Maye’s placement atop the “stock” market coincides with his placement atop the betting market for NFL MVP.
It’s only a matter of time before we figure out whether or not he’ll stick there through the end of the season…
