New England Patriots Mike Vrabel has responded to Stefon Diggs’ recent comments about his comfort level in the offense.

After the Patriots defeated the Carolina Panthers to improve to 2-2, Diggs admitted he still has more to learn about the offense. Instead, he claimed his comfort level in the offense is a five out of 10.

“Being comfortable in the offense is making your coach comfortable,” Diggs said. “You’re making plays. You’re getting open. You’re showing that you know what to do on a consistent basis. You’re making plays for your quarterback. I think it helps everybody out. So, for me, I’ll just say five out of 10 because you never want to get too comfortable.”

Following Diggs’ comments, Vrabel went on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show” and was surprised by his receiver’s comments.

“He should study more,” Vrabel said with a laugh. “Five out of 10, we need to get going. I’ll have to talk to Stef today. Five out of 10, I went to Ohio State, that’s failing.”

Despite Diggs not feeling comfortable in the offense, the star receiver still recorded six receptions for 101 yards in the Patriots’ 42-13 rout of the Panthers. Diggs now has 19 receptions for 213 yards, but has yet to find the end zone this season.

New England signed Diggs to a three-year, $63.5 million deal to be the team’s top receiver and give Drake Maye a reliable option.

The Patriots will go on the road to play the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football in Week 5.
