The New England Patriots will face the New York Jets on Sunday with a chance to clinch the AFC East by the end of the day.

The Patriots announced on Saturday that TreVeyon Henderson, who was originally listed as questionable, has cleared concussion protocol. Henderson was a full participant in Friday’s practice, but needed to be cleared in order to play.

The Patriots will be without two key weapons, Mack Hollins and Kayshon Boutte, but having Henderson will help soften the blow. Henderson exited the game against the Baltimore Ravens early, logging just 14 snaps. However, he has been a great player for the Patriots this season.

The 2025 second-round pick broke out when Rhamondre Stevenson was injured and has carved out a role for himself on the offense. Henderson has 776 rushing yards this season and 221 receiving yards. He has a total of eight touchdowns this season.

Four of his touchdowns have been from at least 50 yards out. He is a big play waiting to happen, and having him back on the field is a great boost for the Patriots. The team will be missing five starters in total, so Mike Vrabel will need everyone else to step up.

If the Patriots win in the early window, they will need a Buffalo Bills loss in the late window to secure the AFC East title. If the Patriots and Bills both win, the Patriots could win the division with a win in the final regular-season game.

Henderson and Stevenson have become a great duo for the Patriots’ offense. Against the Ravens, when Henderson went down, Stevenson stepped up and helped the Patriots secure a win. However, with both backs available, the Patriots are even more dangerous.
