Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen sounded off on X after Sunday’s embarrassing 26-7 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Queen was not happy with some of the comments made by former Steelers offensive lineman Trai Essex during the game.

“He’s hurt, but I’m over the Patrick Queen experiment,” Essex wrote on X. “Simply put, he’s not a Steelers LB. He’s not Farrior. He’s not Timmons. He’s not Shazier. He doesn’t play with that disposition. We missed on that signing. And for our main rival to let him leave, shoulda been a sign.”

Shortly after the game, Queen clapped back.

“Never was a pro bowler or all pro but get on here yappin . Got carried your whole career back n forth from the bench stfu!” Queen wrote.

Queen wasn’t great in run defense before leaving Sunday’s game with a hip injury.

Queen also got into it with a fan on X.

“Oh right cause only fans are allowed to tweet got it! Haven’t missed a tackle in 3 games and it’s part of the game your favorite players off all time missed them too,” he wrote.

The Steelers had no answer for the Bills’ rushing attack on Sunday.

It was a historic performance by Buffalo, as the Bills’ 249 yards rushing were the most ever for a road team at Acrisure Stadium.

Running back James Cook led Buffalo on the ground, rushing for 144 yards on 32 carries (4.5 average). Quarterback Josh Allen also rushed for 38 yards on eight carries (4.8 average) and a touchdown. Ray Davis had an impressive 6.9 yard average, rushing for 62 yards on nine carries. Ty Johnson had five yards two carries.

The Bills’ 249 yards rushing was the most at Pittsburgh by an opposing team since 1975 (Buffalo – 310 yards on 9/28/75).

The numbers continue to be ugly for the highest-paid defense in the NFL. The defense is finding a way to be historic, just not in the way it would like.

Queen has certainly not lived up to his three-year, $41 million contract that was signed in March of 2024.
