The Oregon Ducks are collecting scalps, and Patrick Mahomes is among their latest victims.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has plenty of time on his hands nowadays. His team is out of the playoffs; plus, he wouldn’t be playing anyway, given his season-ending knee injury.
His teammate, Jeffrey Bassa, capitalized on the QB’s newfound free time. While he’s no longer with the Ducks, he’s still invested. And it appears he bet on his former team’s Orange Bowl showdown against Texas Tech.
The Red Raiders are, of course, Mahomes’ old team. So it was pretty easy to lure him into a bet.
The Ducks shut Texas Tech out for a 23-0 win on Thursday, which meant Mahomes would need to wear an Oregon Jersey.
Not only did he wear it, he got put on blast via social media as he struggled in the tight-fitting threads. The fifth-round linebacker posted a video of the embarrassed Mahomes to his IG Story as the QB asked, “What’s up, bro?”
Check him out below:
Mahomes isn’t the only NFL player to fall victim to the Duck this season.
Alums such as Kayvon Thibodeaux, Tez Johnson, and DeForest Buckner all made their teammates wear Oregon gear after significant victories this season. Buckner, though, was made to wear Indiana gear after the Hoosiers beat Oregon.
