Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes showed off another crafty trick during practice on Saturday.
We’ve seen Patrick Mahomes perform all sorts of jaw-dropping moves and throws (the no-look pass, anyone?) over his first seven NFL seasons. During practice, Mahomes pulled another rabbit out of the hat with a ridiculous move that should have other NFL teams on notice.
Mahomes faked the handoff to his running back and took the ball himself. The three-time Super Bowl champion then faked a behind-the-back pass to pick up some extra yardage:
Scary: Patrick Mahomes added a fake behind-the-back pass into his arsenal this offseason 🔥🤯

If Patrick Mahomes can somehow perfect that maneuver during a regular season game? Watch out, NFL.
Mahomes and the Chiefs will try to maintain their Week 1 dominance (6-1 in season openers under the 29-year-old quarterback) when they play the AFC West rival Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 5.
The game will be played at Arena Corinthians in São Paulo, Brazil, the first contest of the 2025 NFL International Series. Arena Corinthians hosted the Green Bay Packers-Philadelphia Eagles Week 1 game last season.
Kansas City has won seven straight meetings against the Bolts dating back to 2021. We’ll see if their dominance of the Bolts continues, or if Justin Herbert and company will finally snap the losing skid.
