You know it’s football season when Pat McAfee starts dropping news. This time, the former NFL punter and lovely host of The Pat McAfee Show is doing more than just talking, he’s packing his bags and hitting the road.
McAfee announced on Monday that he’s taking the show to Pittsburgh Steelers training camp on July 30. And he’s not going alone. His best friend and weekly guest Aaron Rodgers will be right there with him.
“Next Wednesday we will be at the Pittsburgh Steelers’ training camp,” McAfee said during his show. And just like that, fans started counting down the days.
McAfee, a Pittsburgh native, has always worn his hometown pride loud and proud. But this year, he’s kicking it up a notch. He’s setting up shop right at Steelers training camp in Latrobe, just as Rodgers settles into his new role with the black and gold.

Yes, that Aaron Rodgers. The four-time MVP stunned the NFL this offseason by joining Pittsburgh on a one-year deal, a final chapter he called a “finish with love and peace.”
“What better place to finish than in one of the cornerstone franchises of the NFL,” Rodgers said last week. He also praised Mike Tomlin and the team’s leadership, calling the move a “storybook end” to his 20-year career.
McAfee clearly agrees. He’ll be bringing the show’s full energy to camp before heading straight to the Hall of Fame Game the very next day. It’s all part of what looks like a rolling NFL roadshow, and fans are eating it up.
“Hell yeah will be so much fun,” one fan wrote on social media.

It’s not the first time McAfee’s taken his show to Pittsburgh. He hosted a sold-out live event at PPG Paints Arena last year. But this one’s different. This time, he’s doing it with Rodgers in Steelers gear, live from the field, just days before the preseason kicks off.
The timing? Unmatched. The setup? Can’t-miss TV.
Whether you love McAfee’s style or not, he’s really built for this moment. And with Rodgers by his side, he’s about to make training camp must-watch content.
