The Carolina Panthers kick off this afternoon at 4:25 PM ET against the Arizona Cardinals. This is the Panthers second chance at a first impression in 2025 and, even more than Week 1, will shape their reputation for the season. Another dud and fans will fully give up on the Dave Canales/Bryce Young partnership. A big win will translate to deeply mixed feelings across the fanbase and another week of dissecting Young’s performance.
Today is going to be a day to answer questions that the team generated last week. Will Young calm down? Will the team give up over 200 yards of rushing? Can Xavier Legette catch footballs in bounds? Is the black cat franchise inherently cursed? What happens next is anybody’s guess at this point, but we can at least commiserate and celebrate along the way.
