Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette used his speed, toughness and athleticism to overwhelm opposing defenses.
But it appears that Xavier Legette also remembered the iconic line from the Spider-Man franchise, “With great power comes great responsibility.” Legette, indeed, used his power to be responsible for another man in need.
A video has gone viral on X/Twitter of Legette helping a man stuck in the mud with an ATV. The location and identity of the man who needed Legette’s help aren’t known, but it’s nonetheless an entertaining video that will brighten your day.
Legette appears to hand his cellphone to a friend that’s filming the entire saga as it unfolds. The second-year wide receiver gives the man tips on how to get the ATV out, before finally deciding to hop in the mud and help his companion lift it out:
Insane: Xavier Legette rescued a man on an ATV that was stuck in the mud 😭😭
He didn't even hesitate for a second to hop in the mud

Three cheers for Legette, folks!
Last year, the Panthers traded up via the Buffalo Bills to select Legette with the No. 32 pick. He was the seventh receiver taken in round one, behind Marvin Harrison Jr. (fourth overall to the Arizona Cardinals), Malik Nabers (sixth to the New York Giants), Rome Odunze (ninth to the Chicago Bears), Brian Thomas Jr. (23rd to the Jacksonville Jaguars), Xavier Worthy (28th to the Kansas City Chiefs) and Ricky Pearsall (31st to the San Francisco 49ers).
Xavier Legette Looks To Improve After Mediocre Rookie Year
In his rookie season, Legette finished with 49 receptions for 497 yards and four touchdowns. The Panthers used the No. 8 pick on promising Arizona wideout Tetairoa McMillan, so that should open up more opportunities for Legette to draw favorable matchups and improve in year two.
Legette and the Panthers will kick off their 2025 season on the road against Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 7.
