According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Carolina Panthers have agreed with Taylor Moton on a two year extension. It’s worth $44 million with almost all of it guaranteed.
Moton’s deal was set to expire after this coming season, but this new contract locks in him for a couple more years. He’s been as steady as they come on the right side and his play hasn’t deteriorated at all as he’s entered his 30s. He missed three games last season, which were the first snaps (yes snaps, not games) that he had missed since he took over the starting right tackle spot in 2018.
The Panthers have made the offensive line a priority since Dan Morgan took over as general manager, which is really a thing every team should be doing all the time. He’s built a formidable group up front, and now another one of the key components of that group is locked into Carolina.
