There is no doubt about it. The Carolina Panthers are in contention for the playoffs in December. They are in play for scenarios that see them losing a couple more games and still winning the NFC South or losing only one more game and earning a wildcard berth. They could technically clinch the NFC South in Week 16 if enough dominos fall their way.
That is a wild thing to write after the team started 0-2, got blown out down the line by the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills, and even lost to the seemingly lowly New Orleans Saints. What a wild season.
That said, being in contention doesn’t mean this rollercoaster is actually heading to the playoffs. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers aren’t going to make it easy on the Panthers. Neither, if history is any guide, will the Panthers make it easy on themselves.
That’s OK. The playoffs should be part of a hard road. The question now, for Panthers fans, is simple. On the eve of the last quarter of the 2025 season, do you think the Panthers are going to make the playoffs? Light up the comments with your opinions and we’ll see what happens every Sunday for the rest of the year.
