Panthers Reacts Results: That could have been worse

Some regression was to be expected following a week of disappointment

Confidence in the current direction of the Carolina Panthers fell this week. That should come as no surprise as the team is coming off of a dismal all-around effort against the Dallas Cowboys last week. Not only did we all get to see the return of Bad Bryce in what was Bryce Young’s worst game since getting benched after the Week 2 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, but we also got to see the return of the early season injury bug.

Honestly, the hit to fan confidence could have been worse. Most fans seem to think that things will work out in the long term. At least, I assume that’s what this number means. It’s hard to imagine 69% of fans expecting an immediate bounce back against one of the stronger rushing teams in the NFL just one week after the Panthers lost what little remains of their linebacking depth.

The fact of the matter is that this season is long over. Most of us know that by now and are just going through the motions to get to Free Agency and the 2025 NFL Draft. Optimism in the future will only be sustained by positive steps taken by Dan Morgan and Dave Canales in building the team, and watching them add pieces to this roster sounds a sight more entertaining right now than watching the Panthers be bad on the field.
