Carolina brought back some familiar faces to the practice squad this week.

The Carolina Panthers front office is busy throughout the season with transactions, roster moves, and injury updates. Here’s what’s happening at Mint Street this week.

Injury Updates

Per the Panthers team website, the following players are on the injury report as of publication:

Transactions

Signed LB Jacoby Windmon from the practice squad. The undrafted rookie has appeared in five games this year with the Panthers, recording three tackles. He has played two defensive snaps and 61 special teams snaps in Carolina this season.

Signed WR Dax Milne to the practice squad. The former BYU star was a 2021 seventh round pick by the Washington Commanders. In his first two NFL seasons he had 15 receptions for 120 yards and a touchdown. He also returned 40 punts and 15 kickoffs. Milne missed the 2023 season due to injury before being released by the Commanders. He was originally signed to the Panthers practice squad in late October of this year, was released on December 10th, and has now been brought back for a second look.

Signed LB Jackson Mitchell to the practice squad. The undrafted rookie from Connecticut originally signed before this season with the Panthers but didn’t survive roster cutdowns. He was brought back to Carolina’s practice squad in October, was released (again) in November, and has now been re-signed (again).

Signed WR Dan Chisena to the practice squad. The fifth-year veteran has appeared in three games for the Panthers this year, playing nine offensive snaps and 30 on special teams, without recording any stats. He has bounced around the Panthers organization this year and is back on the practice squad.
