Another year, another Thanksgiving Day win for quarterback Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers. This proved to be the difference maker for the Packers, leading them to the 31-24 win, and putting the Lions at risk of missing the playoffs. Jordan Love’s stretch of great play on holidays continued with his third-straight Thanksgiving Day win and the Madden Thanksgiving MVP trophy. Love looked great on Thursday, with a couple of “WOW” throws, including the game-winning first down pass to Dontayvion Wicks, and this BEAUTY of a pass to Christian Watson for a 51-yard score. With this ball traveling over 58 air yards, this is Love’s longest TD pass of his career.
The other fanbase is calling it a push-off in between sobs and heaving breaths, but this was a great play by both quarterback and receiver, plain and simple. Love has been immaculate on Thanksgiving over the last three years, with 61 completions on 90 attempts (67%) for 776 yards, 9 TDs, and 0 INTs. He has also never been sacked on Thanksgiving Day. It seems like the trust in Love by HC Matt LaFleur is at an all-time high lately, and rightfully so. Love’s final 2025 Thanksgiving Day stat line: 18/30 for 234 yards, 4 TDs, 0 INTs, and a 124.2 rating.
I still can’t believe he’s a Packer. Micah Parsons made NFL history on Thursday by becoming the first player to ever have 12+ sacks in each of his first five NFL seasons. In a league which has seen names like Reggie White, Aaron Donald, J.J. Watt, and Myles Garrett, calling this quite the feat would be an understatement. Parsons has been nothing but a disruptor since being traded to Green Bay in August.
Parsons generated 10 pressures and 2.5 sacks in 26 pass rushes for his highest pressure rate (38.5%) since his rookie season. 4 of these pressures and 1.5 sacks were generated on just 6 third down pass rushes. Pure dominance, through and through. Through 12 games, Parsons is officially at 12.5 sacks. The last Packer to accumulate 12.5 sacks in a season was Za’Darius Smith in 2020, and it took him 15 games to get there. Packers fans are beyond lucky to get to witness this greatness from a guy wearing green and gold.
