Jaguars fans, who are you picking in tonight’s game between the Packers and Seahawks?
Sunday Night Football kicks off tonight at 8:20 p.m. EST as the 8-5 Seattle Seahawks host the 9-4 Green Bay Packers at Lumen Field.
The Packers are 2.5-point favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, and the total is 46.5 points.
I like the Seahawks to cover and win outright tonight. Again, the Packers are my Super Bowl team, so it’s not a knock on the visiting team. I’m just buying what Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald is selling. His defense ranked bottom-six in EPA per play and success rate allowed on early downs through the first two months of the season; since Week 9, though, Seattle ranks top-10 in both metrics. The midseason addition of linebacker Ernest Jones was massive (similar to Macdonald’s former Ravens defense adding Roquan Smith) and it’s clear that everyone on that side of the ball is more comfortable in the new scheme.
Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs and the rest of Green Bay’s offense will be a big test. I think the Packers are a better team in general, but Seattle is peaking at the right time, and they have homefield advantage. Prove me right, Mike!
