The Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles are about to kick off in their Wild Card playoff game on this Sunday afternoon. The two NFC rivals opened the 2024 regular season against one another in Brazil, where the Eagles won 34-29, and now they open the NFC’s playoff schedule this afternoon as well.
All three AFC playoff games have concluded, leaving the three NFC games to go. Packers-Eagles will be followed by Commanders-Buccaneers this evening and then Vikings-Rams (in Arizona) on Monday night.
Can the Packers do the improbable once again and pull off a second consecutive 7-2 upset against an NFC East champion? They handily defeated the Dallas Cowboys 48-32 in the same matchup a year ago and they will need an even better performance this afternoon to move on to the Divisional round, which would see them earn a trip to Detroit to face the top-seeded Lions.
