It’s been a busy offseason for the Green Bay Packers, as they attempt to prepare for the 2026 NFL season. With training camp approaching, Packers’ coach Matt LaFleur made an announcement that will please the veterans of the roster, according to Packers’ beat writer Rob Demovsky.

“Packers coach Matt LaFleur said this is final week of the full offseason program. Only the rookies will be here next week,” Demovsky wrote on X.

This announcement will give veterans like Jordan Love a slight break before training camp gets in full gear. Additionally, it will help the team reset itself before going all in in preparation for the 2026 season.

There has been more pressure on Love, especially after the events surrounding the Packers this offseason. After the Packers fell to the Chicago Bears in the Wildcard Round, there will be more urgency for the team to improve. It was their second consecutive wildcard exit, and their division is not getting any weaker. With the Detroit Lions possibly looking to rebound, there will be more competition.

While veterans are done with the offseason program, it’s not the end. Now, the real hard work begins. The vets will do everything they can to prepare for the start of the season, as the Packers will look to get off to a good start and possibly win the NFC North this season. The Packers start the season with back-to-back road games. First, they will battle the Minnesota Vikings, followed by a trip to the Meadowlands against the New York Jets. Their home opener will be in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons.
