Veteran NFL quarterback Tyrod Taylor joined the Green Bay Packers for the 2025 NFL season, and he brings championship experience, having been part of the Baltimore Ravens squad that defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII.
For Taylor, experiencing the ultimate high for an NFL player came early in his career, as he was only in his second season. But as time has gone on, he’s developed an appreciation for just how difficult the journey is to get back to the mountaintop.
Speaking with media members on Wednesday, Taylor explained the importance of not only putting in the work to be Super Bowl contenders, but that he believes the current Packers locker room has the talent and attitude to make that dream possible.
“You definitely try to look for teams that have the best talent, but that doesn’t always win championships,” Taylor said via Zach Jacobson on X. “It’s about the nucleus, the chemistry, and obviously staying healthy. Every team at this time of year feels they have the pieces to do so. It’s about putting in the work, day in and day out, keeping the right mindset. And I think the guys in this locker room have the right mindset to be able to achieve what we all want to achieve.”
Taylor has played for multiple teams in his NFL career, including the Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans, New York Giants, and New York Jets.
He’s accumulated 13,033 passing yards with 73 touchdowns and 34 interceptions, and has a 61.8% completion percentage.
