On Wednesday afternoon ahead of the Green Bay Packers Week 11 matchup vs. the New York Giants, the focus shifted to star linebacker Micah Parsons after he reacted to Fox Sports’s Colin Cowherd, who offered another round of public criticism after the team’s Week 10 Monday Night Football loss to the Philadelphia Eagles 10-7. Cowherd first claimed Parsons was not good against the run in that game, and the exchange spread quickly as fans zeroed in on the latest shot and Parsons’ response.
Cowherd, who works for Fox and hosts The Herd, posted a segment on X (formerly known as Twitter) questioning the versatility of Parsons as a pass rusher compared to others around the league. He pointed to several elite defenders to support his case and closed with a direct contrast to Parsons that intensified the debate.
“Cleveland’s not moving off Myles Garrett. Raiders aren’t moving off Max Crosby. Steelers aren’t moving off T.J. Watt. Why? Because those are versatile edge rushers. Micah’s not.”

Parsons responded directly on his own account. The former Dallas Cowboys linebacker’s brief reply showed he didn’t care for the comparison and suggested he could have more to add as the clip gained traction.
“Lol should I do it?”
The timing of the exchange adds another layer to an important week for the Packers. Parsons has been one of the most productive defenders in the league this season with 6.5 sacks, 22 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and 14 quarterback hits through nine games. His presence remains central to Green Bay’s playoff push as the team works to rebound from back-to-back losses.
The Week 11 matchup offers a strong opportunity for him to make a statement on the gridiron. The Giants will start backup Jameis Winston after rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart was ruled out with a concussion. New York is also dealing with protection issues and ongoing coaching changes, which gives Parsons a chance to generate disruptive plays that directly counter Cowherd’s point.
