Packers Snap Counts: Anthony Belton takes over at guard vs. Vikings

Between the depth chart shuffles on the offensive line and at tight end, plus the injuries impacting the running back, linebacker and cornerback positions, there’s a ton of information that we got about the Green Bay Packers’ roster in their win over the Minnesota Vikings. Remember, this is a short week, as the Packers are set to face off against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving, so the team might be more banged up than usual in Week 13.

Let’s dive into the snap counts from Sunday’s action.

Quarterbacks

  • Jordan Love: 59 snaps
  • Malik Willis: 6

Yes, the Vikings lost so badly that Malik Willis had to come in and play some snaps at the end of the game for the Packers to run the clock. Willis was probably the second-best quarterback on the field on Sunday.

Running Backs

  • Emanuel Wilson: 36
  • Chris Brooks: 29 (17 SPT)
  • Pierre Strong Jr.: 0

With Josh Jacobs being a late scratch due to his knee injury, Emanuel Wilson was the Packers’ primary ball-carrier. On 36 snaps, he ran the ball 28 times (78 percent), while Chris Brooks only got 8 carries in 29 snaps (28 percent). That’s about as big of a split as you’re going to see in the NFL.

For what it’s worth, practice squad promotion Pierre Strong Jr. did not play on offense or special teams this week, so he’s more of a break in case of emergency player than anything else.

Receivers

  • Christian Watson: 48
  • Romeo Doubs: 47 (4 SPT)
  • Dontayvion Wicks: 32
  • Malik Heath: 13
  • Savion Williams: 8 (3 SPT)
  • (CB) Bo Melton: 1 (9 SPT)

Nothing much to note here at receiver, considering that Matthew Golden was out with a shoulder/wrist injury. Pay attention to the injury report this week, as Jayden Reed’s practice window opened up on Friday.

Tight Ends

  • John FitzPatrick: 40 (3 SPT)
  • Josh Whyle: 26 (7 SPT)
  • Luke Musgrave: 24

When Luke Musgrave was TE3 last week, head coach Matt LaFleur said that the team needed to use him more. Instead, Musgrave again finished in third place on Sunday with just 24 offensive snaps. As of now, look for John FitzPatrick to be Green Bay’s primary in-line tight end, due to his blocking ability.

Offensive Linemen

  • Zach Tom: 65 (5 SPT)
  • Aaron Banks: 65 (5 SPT)
  • Sean Rhyan: 65 (5 SPT)
  • Rasheed Walker: 65 (5 SPT)
  • Anthony Belton: 45 (5 SPT)
  • Darian Kinnard: 21 (5 SPT)
  • Jordan Morgan: 20 (5 SPT)
  • Jacob Monk: 0 (2 SPT)

Jordan Morgan and Anthony Belton rotated at right guard today, marking Belton’s first snaps at guard in the NFL. By the second half, Belton took over the job fully. He should probably just play guard for the rest of 2025.

Beyond Belton, the Packers played Darian Kinnard as a tight end in 21 of their plays this week. Before this week,...
