The Packers have announced their home game themes for the 2025 season, and with that announcement comes their uniform schedule for the year.
The Packers will don their all-white alternates against the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football in Week 2, then they’ll debut their new throwback alternates against the Carolina Panthers in Week 9.
The all-white alts, known officially as the Packers’ “Winter Warning” set but correctly as their White Cheddar uniforms, made their debut last season. The Packers first wore them for their Week 7 game against the Houston Texans and brought them back later in the year for a road game against the Seattle Seahawks. They won both times.
Notably, the Packers have yet to wear their winter-themed uniforms during any actual wintry weather, and that trend looks like it will continue this year.
The all-white uniforms, surprisingly, are actually fairly old at this point. Though the team added a white helmet last season to complete the ensemble, the all-white uniforms have been in rotation since 2016, although the team didn’t bring them out at all in the 2020, 2021, or 2023 seasons.
The new throwbacks, meanwhile, are obviously completely untested. The Packers introduced the new outfits on July 24, hearkening back to the team’s 1923 season. The highlight of the new uniform is its custom airbrushed helmets, similar to (if not identical to) those used by the University of Illinois during a game in 2024.
Fitting for a team with as rich and extensive of a history as the Packers, they’ve worn quite a few throwback uniforms over the past few seasons. Dating back to the start of the Aaron Rodgers era, the team rolled out two different blue throwbacks (potentially three if you count their brown helmets as their own uniform) and an all-green look, the last of which was retired by the introduction of the new throwback last month.
