Packers Reacts Survey: Will Gutekunst double-dip again with early draft picks?

The Packers have used multiple early picks on the same position several times under the current regime. Will it happen again this year?

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Green Bay Packers fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

It has become common practice for Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst to take multiple swings at a single position in the NFL Draft. Last year, he drafted two linebackers in the top 100 overall picks and two safeties before the end of the fourth round. In 2023, he doubled up on tight ends on day two. 2022 saw a pair of wide receivers and a pair of offensive linemen before the fourth round concluded. And in 2018, he used both of his first two draft picks on cornerbacks.

This year, Gutekunst has one selection in each of the first four rounds...for now. Those picks fall in the top 125, with overall slots of #23, #54, #87, and #124.

After last week’s discussion of what position the team will draft first, the double-dip possibility is on our minds this week. Therefore, this week’s question gets at that point: Do you think that the Packers will use more than one pick within the first four rounds of the draft on a single position?
