Green Bay fans are feeling realistic about the team’s chances of catching the Vikings and Lions with three weeks to go.

The Green Bay Packers are in fine shape heading into the final three weeks of the season. The Packers need only win one of their final three games to clinch a playoff spot, and they appear to be peaking in December coming into this final stretch.

Jordan Love is on a roll, Josh Jacobs is punishing opposing defenses, and the Packers’ own defense has been dialing up the pass rush. It feels like it’s all coming together for this team at the right time, which has Packers fans feeling extremely positive about where they are headed the rest of this year and into the future.

This week’s Reacts surveys show Packers fans at a 95 percent confidence rating, a boost of nearly ten points over the 86% that the survey showed a week ago.

That result should be no surprise after the Packers registered a blowout win over the Seahawks to end the team’s recent string of bad results in Seattle. It was a complete team victory, even as things got just a bit hairy early in the fourth quarter.

This week, the expectation among NFL fans is that the Packers will repeat last week’s big prime time win when they face the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. There remains a chance that this team could finish with a 13-4 record and yet still be the #6 seed in the postseason. Although a chance exists of the team managing to win the NFC North division title — a scenario that requires the Vikings and Lions to lose each of their next two games and then tie when playing each other in week 18 — those odds are frighteningly slim. Instead, the Packers should finish in a Wild Card spot come the end of the season, but which spot they will occupy will depend on the results across the next three weeks.

This week, APC surveyed Packers fans on what seed they expect the Packers to earn, and just under two-thirds see them finishing where they are now: in the #6 spot and behind the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions in the NFC North. About 30 percent do think that Green Bay will overtake one of those teams (probably Minnesota) and earn the 5-seed, however:

As long as the Packers do not end up with the #7 seed, they would avoid playing either the Eagles or the NFC North division winner in the Wild Card round, instead setting up to face the winner of...
