The Green Bay Packers were slotted into the seven seed in the NFC before Week 18 begins. None of the outcomes will change that. More importantly for Packers fans, though, will be who Green Bay plays as the two seed. That is wide open with a few different teams able to set up shop there.

With a Bears win in Week 18 or a loss by the Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears would clinch the two seed. Bears vs Packers III would be on the docket. If the Eagles win and the Bears loss, Green Bay would be headed to Philly.

NFC North standings

The Chicago Bears have clinched the division title while the Packers have clinched a playoff spot. The Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions have been eliminated from the playoffs.

  1. Chicago Bears (11-5)
  2. Green Bay Packers (9-6-1)
  3. Minnesota Vikings (8-8)
  4. Detroit Lions (8-8)

Six of the seven playoff teams in the NFC are locked in. The only fight for a spot is in the NFC South, where the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers battle for the division title and the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints will play a role, though not make the playoffs themselves. If Atlanta wins Sunday, the Panthers are division champs. If the Saints win, Tampa bay wins the NFC South.

The Seattle Seahawks clinched the first-round bye on Saturday, dropping the San Francisco 49ers into the wild card for good. The Los Angeles Rams can pass San Fran Sunday, too.

Here is the current list:

1. Seattle Seahawks (14-3)
2. Chicago Bears (11-5)
3. Philadelphia Eagles (11-5)
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-9)
5. San Francisco 49ers (12-5)
6. Los Angeles Rams (11-5)
7. Green Bay Packers (9-6-1)
10. Carolina Panthers (8-9)
