Beyond just the Green Bay Packers downgrading quarterback Jordan Love (concussion) to out against the Baltimore Ravens, the team made other adjustments to their injury report on Friday. First of all, the team placed linebacker Kristian Welch (ankle) on the injured reserve. Welch came in to replace the special teams snaps that linebacker Nick Niemann previously played, before Niemann himself went on injured reserve.

Be it a practice squad elevation to the gameday roster or a straight promotion to the 53-man roster, expect practice squad linebacker Jamon Johnson to replace Welch’s snaps against the Baltimore Ravens. Johnson previously came in and contributed on special teams on Thanksgiving, when the Packers’ linebacker unit was banged up.

On top of that, two more players were given an illness status on Friday: starting left guard Aaron Banks and receiver Savion Williams. Both are now listed as questionable against Baltimore.

Quarterback Malik Willis, who is expected to replace Love this week, receiver Christian Watson, center Sean Rhyan, defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna and cornerback Bo Melton also have illness designations on the Packers’ injury report. Whatever bug is floating around Green Bay’s locker room seems to be spreading.
