Acme Packing Company
This is going to be the question you’ll be getting all week. If you’re a Green Bay Packers fan outside of the Packers’ footprint, half of your office is going to ask you if Josh Jacobs is going to play this week, off fantasy implications alone.
Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has already said that Jacobs won’t go on the injured reserve due to the knee injury that he sustained against the New York Giants. In LaFleur’s words, it’s a contusion (a bruise). I have to say “in LaFleur’s words,” because after all of the chaos around the Brandon McManus situation this year, I’m not sure how much you can trust what coaches are saying in press conferences in Green Bay.
LaFleur wouldn’t say outright that Jacobs would be playing this week, giving the following answer to a Monday press conference question:
“Potentially, but we’ll see where he’s at. It’s a contusion, so it’s just, more or less, trying to get the swelling down. Unfortunately, that’s a pretty hard surface over there, sometimes a byproduct of that.”
So what do you say? Is Jacobs gonna go this week against the Minnesota Vikings, or will Emanuel Wilson make the first start of his NFL career?
How will that impact the game? Sound off in the comments.
