Acme Packing Company
Only one Green Bay Packer, defensive end Micah Parsons, was named to the NFL’s initial list of Pro Bowlers when they were announced last month. Parsons, along with the Cleveland Browns’ Myles Garrett and the Houston Texans’ Will Anderson Jr., was named a first-team All-Pro by the Associated Press, and their 50 voters, on Saturday. Parsons got the nod over edge rushers Brian Burns (New York Giants), Danielle Hunter (Texans) and Aidan Hutchinson (Detroit Lions).
The defensive end, traded from the Dallas Cowboys in August, was on pace for a defensive player of the year type of season (he probably would have come second in 2025 behind Garrett, as Garrett broke the sack record) before tearing his ACL against the Denver Broncos in Week 15. Parsons hadn’t made first-team All-Pro since his second season with the Cowboys back in 2022. He was a second-teamer in 2023 and didn’t make either list in 2024.
Beyond Parsons, Packers safety Xavier McKinney was also named a second-team All-Pro for 2025. McKinney wasn’t named a Pro Bowler, as the NFC’s three representatives at the position were Chicago’s Kevin Byard, Arizona’s Budda Baker and Tampa Bay’s Antoine Winfield Jr.
Byard was named a first-team All-Pro, but neither Baker nor Winfield made either first- or second-team. Other All-Pros at the position were Baltimore’s Kyle Hamilton (first-team), Atlanta’s Jessie Bates (second-team) and Denver’s Talanoa Hufanga (second-team).
Aside from Parsons and McKinney, here are other Packers who received votes for the list:
I’m a little surprised McKinney was named All-Pro, considering how different his production was on the ball compared to 2024. When he was a first-teamer last year, he brought in eight interceptions. This year, he had just two and also dropped a couple (particularly against the Denver Broncos). Good for him, though.
