Will Green Bay fans ever pick a defensive end? The time is now
It’s Monday, which means we’re starting another round of our mock draft voting here at Acme Packing Company. As always, we’ll take you through a mock draft scenario, in which you’ll vote for your preferred option in the comment section. The winner at the end of the day will be the Green Bay Packers’ first-round pick in this mock. We’ll continue with second- and third-round selection voting on Tuesday and Wednesday.
If you need a refresher, here’s how the first two mocks panned out for the Packers:
In a major upset, not one defensive end has been selected on either Day 1 or Day 2 for Green Bay through two mocks. Mind you, that’s the same position that was voted as the biggest need for the team earlier this month. It appears that Packers fans are being very picky about the type of defensive end that they’d want to add to their team.
For this mock draft, we’re going to use the Stick to the Model NFL Draft Simulator for our scenarios. Below are the best players available for the Packers with the 23rd overall pick in our first run of the simulation:
If you want the team to pick a defensive end, there’s no better time than now, with Marshall’s Mike Green still on the board. Maybe Oregon’s Derrick Harmon, the top defensive tackle, will make it three in a row for our mock series, though.
The player who receives the comment with the most “rec”s in the comment section below will be awarded to the Packers. You can sign up for our comment section with THIS link.
