The season began roughly for Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons, and unfortunately, it ended similarly after he suffered a campaign-ending ACL injury in Week 15 against the Denver Broncos.
Parsons, who had to go through a much-publicized contract dispute with the Dallas Cowboys before signing with the Packers, is now rehabbing his left knee, enduring an arduous process that will keep him sidelined for several months.
But despite his challenging situation, Parsons has remained optimistic, even posting an inspiring message on Christmas Day.
“Two weeks in, I’ve accepted the pain and the reality of this journey. Some days are heavy, some days aren’t, but every day brings its own fight. My courage, my strength, and my mind have all been tested. Still, I won’t stop. I won’t quit until I’m back. I’m grateful God chose me. Happy Holidays. Merry Christmas. #Thankful,” wrote the five-time Pro Bowler on X.

Amen to that.
The 26-year-old Parsons finished his first season in Green Bay with 41 total tackles, 12.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.
Losing him for the remainder of the campaign was a major blow to the Packers, who could still catch the Chicago Bears for the division title. True to his calling card, he had been the team’s most disruptive defender, and now, the Packers will have to devise other ways to make their defense hum without him.
It is the first major injury of Parsons, who had remained remarkably durable since entering the NFL in 2021.
Parsons signed a four-year, $188 million contract with Green Bay, which made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in league history.
