For the first time in his NFL career, Micah Parsons will be lining up on the opposite side of the field as quarterback Dak Prescott. The Week 4 Green Bay Packers vs. Dallas Cowboys matchup will be bittersweet for the All-Pro pass rusher.

Ultimately, he is looking to lead the Packers to a win. Coming off of an embarrassing loss to the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay is desperate to get back on the right track in Week 4. Despite any ties Parsons and Prescott may have.

Still, the Packers star can’t ignore what it means to be facing off against Prescott. He’ll still be looking to come away with as many sacks as possible. But Parsons has already thought about what it would be like sacking his old quarterback, via the Associated Press.

“It’s going to be painful,” Parsons said about getting a chance to sack Prescott. “That’s my guy. He was always like a good mentor for me. But you know how it is. He always told me if I ever faced him that it’ll be a great matchup, so I’m excited to see what Sunday brings itself.”

Prescott had been on the Cowboys well before Parsons joined. But it wasn’t long before the pass rusher and quarterback were working side by side as leaders. During their tenure in Dallas, the Cowboys made the playoffs three times. While they never advanced past the Divisional Round, Prescott and Parsons were crucial in any form of Dallas success.

But with owner Jerry Jones unable to come to terms on a long-term deal with the All-Pro, he was forced to facilitate a trade. The Packers won the sweepstakes, bolstering their playoff push. Now, Parsons will have an opportunity to show the Cowboys why they made a massive mistake.
