The Green Bay Packers recently lost out on the NFC North crown with a home defeat at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday evening. The injuries have started to mount in alarming fashion for the Packers over the last few weeks, with Jordan Love missing that game due to a concussion.

Micah Parsons has been out of the lineup for the last two games after tearing his ACL in a recent road loss against the Denver Broncos, and now, the team has gotten an update on his recovery process.

“It would appear Micah Parsons is having his ACL surgery today. This is from his IG story,” reported Rob Demovsky of ESPN NFL Nation on X, formerly Twitter.

While two weeks may seem like a long time to wait until having surgery, it’s not unusual for the procedure to not take place immediately in the wake of an injury. It should also be noted that Parsons welcomed a child in the last two weeks, which could have played a role in the delay of the surgery.

Meanwhile, the Packers are searching for ways to start playing their best football at the right time, which has not been the case over the last few weeks. Green Bay currently sits at 9-6-1 on the season, and will have to go on the road for its first playoff game, wherever that may be.

The Packers will certainly be hoping that Love is able to clear the concussion protocol in time for this weekend’s game on the road against the divisional rival Minnesota Vikings, which will be Green Bay’s last chance to try to put it all together before the postseason gets underway.

Their game against the Vikings is set to kick off at 1:00 pm ET on Sunday in Minnesota.
